Going into college, I dreamed of being a theatre major until my parents convinced me not to. I started off in the Sawyer Business School and knew absolutely nothing about business. I didn't want to be there. Then I discovered my passion for marketing.
I was then soon able to combine the two components of my passion and my education, becoming the PR/marketing manager for Suffolk’s Performing Arts Office during my sophomore year. This put me in my first of many leadership roles at Suffolk and also showed me that I can work anywhere with a business degree—not just for a huge corporation.
During my junior year, I got an internship offer from a theatre company as a marketing Intern. I then declared a minor in arts administration.
By slowly finding how to fit what I wanted with what I was doing for my education, I became a happier student. I can't thank Suffolk University and the professors that I've had enough for helping me fit my passion in life into my successful college career!
