Shaping Who She Is Today

Casey's Suffolk Story

“Being a Suffolk student has shaped who I am today by allowing me to come out of my shell and not be afraid to try new things. Suffolk University and Boston will always feel like home to me.”

Casey's Suffolk Story

I am so happy that I chose to study at Suffolk University. The greatest things about it are the location and size. You could not be more centrally located in the heart of Boston, and it is on the smaller side. My average class is about 30 students. Being in a city with so many opportunities and at a school where you are not just a number gives you a lot of leeway to become involved and network with everyone around you.

In the past three years, I have had nothing but incredible experiences. I spent an entire semester in Rome, Italy, and traveled throughout Europe. I spent a week in Disney World with other students in the Journey Leadership Program learning about the Disney style of leadership and how to snorkel with manatees. I went on a volunteer trip in Virginia. I became president of Suffolk’s Professional Marketing Association and a member of a nationally recognized honor society. I held two summer internships, worked with the Boston Red Sox for my marketing class, and even got the keys to my first apartment. I owe this all to Suffolk University.

I have also built countless lifelong friendships and have met so many wonderful people along the way. Being a Suffolk student has shaped who I am today by allowing me to come out of my shell and not be afraid to try new things. Suffolk University and Boston will always feel like home to me.
