Ways to Get Involved
Studying abroad changed your life. Thanks for helping us celebrate all the ways your fellow students can change theirs, too.
Study Abroad Peer Mentors
The Study Abroad Peer Mentors meet throughout the semester to plan events and help students who are planning their study abroad experience. This student club puts on events open to the entire Suffolk community like the Around the World Lunch, featuring some of their favorite dishes from their host countries. They also host Coffee and Cookie Hours and share their experiences, advice, and wisdom at the study abroad Pre-Departure Orientation. You can sign up to join them at the beginning of the semester when you return to Boston.
Events and Workshops
The Center for International Programs and Services hosts several events each semester for students returning from abroad. Pay attention to your Suffolk email for details on events such as:
- The returnee dinner
- Photo contests
- New England Returnee Conference (usually held every year in late February)
- Unpacking Your Cultural Suitcase: International Careers
