Advising

Your First-Year Academic Adviser supports your needs related to building your course schedule, addressing add/drop/withdrawal needs, discussing course options, providing guidance on career and major/minor pathways. We remain with you through your first year, and for undeclared majors, until you declare a major. We are listed on your program evaluation, therefore, be sure that you are reaching out to your assigned adviser for the most efficient advising support.

One of the most important roles of your adviser is to make sure you are prepared and cleared for the following semester’s registration. Timely planning, preparation, and registration leads to a more enjoyable and less stressful experience. We have put together the following timeline to help you plan for Spring 2023 advising.

We will clear you for Spring 2023 registration only if you attend your SBS-100 advising class session and upload your wish-list, otherwise, you will need to meet with an adviser indicated on your program evaluation to obtain clearance. Be sure to make sure that there are no other holds on your account that delays your registration.
