Community Impact

From our classrooms to the broader community, Suffolk students drive change.

Social impact matters to Suffolk students. They want to effect positive change through their work—and to work with employers who value purpose as well as profit.

These values reflect those of the Sawyer Business School, whose downtown Boston location places students at the center of countless service-learning opportunities. In fact, community impact is a core pillar of our curricula, enabling students to put knowledge and theory into practice as they work on real, community-identified needs. Combined with reflection in a structured environment, their efforts make a real difference.

Here, we work to ensure tomorrow’s leaders and change agents are equipped not only to succeed per traditional measures, but also to drive positive societal impact. This is our responsibility as conscious leaders: to tackle challenges in inequality, injustice, healthcare, and sustainability as we pursue new ventures.
