Advising Services

All students are assigned an advisor to help them design a plan incorporating their academic, personal, and professional goals.

Advising is a partnership between you and your graduate program director or faculty advisor. Your assigned advisor is listed on the first page of your Program Evaluation. You can also check the MyAdvisor tab on MySuffolk.

Within the College of Arts and Sciences, the Assistant Director of Graduate Programs, Emily Vecchiarelli, provides administrative advice. You are welcome to reach out via email if you have any questions about general advising, policies and procedures, or campus resources. The Assistant Director can help to connect you with resources both inside and outside the classroom.

Your program director and faculty advisors are your subject and career experts. We encourage you to seek their recommendations for career preparations and advice about professions and industries. For some programs, you will work closely with your program director or faculty advisor to select courses specific to your career goals or concentration.
