Advising Services

All students are assigned an advisor to help them design a plan incorporating their academic, personal, and professional goals.

Advising is a partnership between you, your graduate program advisor, and your academic program director or faculty advisor. Your assigned advisor is listed on the first page of your Program Evaluation. You can also check the MyAdvisor tab on MySuffolk.

Who's Who: Graduate Program Advisors vs. Faculty Advisors

The graduate program advisors within the Sawyer Business School provide academic and administrative advice. We'll help you make the most of your time here by offering information about:

  • Your curriculum
  • Graduate requirements
  • Policies and procedures
  • Academic planning
  • Graduation planning
  • Other general advising questions and concerns

We'll help connect you to opportunities inside and outside the classroom—tutoring services, professional development events, networking opportunities, and on-campus recruiting fairs.

Your program director and faculty advisors are your subject and career experts. We encourage you to seek their recommendations for career preparations and advice about professions and industries. For some programs you will work closely with your program director or faculty advisor to select courses specific to your career goals or concentration.
