Mission Statement

The mission of the Advisory Council of the Department of Strategy and International Business (SIB) at the Sawyer Business School, Suffolk University, is to support and advance the Department’s distinctive integrative vision. The Council advises SIB on contemporary industry trends and the Department’s strategic positioning, ensuring relevance in a dynamic global business environment. It also provides concrete support in strengthening industry relationships, expanding professional networks, identifying internships for International Business majors and minors, and developing revenue-generating initiatives. Through this guidance, the Council reinforces SIB’s core commitment to cross-functional learning that synthesizes strategy and international business across traditional disciplinary boundaries.
