What's Next

Pre-departure orientation in Boston
If you're a student from the United States, come to our two-day pre-departure orientation in Boston in June (We'll let you know the exact dates later.). This session will help you prepare for your arrival in Madrid this fall. You’ll stay overnight in a residence hall; your parents are welcome to join us on the second day. This will be a great opportunity for you to bond with your future classmates, get your visa questions answered, meet Suffolk Madrid staff members, and finalize your course registration.

Don’t worry if you can’t attend orientation. We’ll also be in touch via email, and would be happy to set up a Skype call if you want to go over things before your arrival date. We'll host another comprehensive orientation upon your arrival in Spain, too.

Madrid orientation/welcome trip
After you arrive in Madrid, we'll hold a weeklong orientation before classes begin. On-campus orientation sessions will focus on academic expectations, housing, transportation around town, Spanish social customs, and other information to help you transition to life in Madrid. Orientation will culminate in a four-day trip to Salamanca (in the fall) or Seville (in the spring), when you'll explore these exciting cities with new friends through fun activities and cultural events. Check out more information here.
