Bingyi Chen’s primary research interests are in corporate governance and auditing. Her work has been published in Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Corporate Accounting and Finance, and Socio-Economic Review. Prior to her academic career, Bingyi worked as an auditor at Ernst & Young LLP where she earned the title of UK Chartered Accountant (currently inactive).

She has taught financial accounting at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
