Research/Creative Interests

My work as a sculptor explores how strength can be found in the vulnerabilities of the body and how the body is both our processing system and the seat of our intelligence. The works employ an array of materials, merging and transitioning media to explore the porous news of our physical and empathetic experiences while moving through the world.

Teaching Philosophy

I believe learning happens as students develop and follow their own sense of curiosity. Learning art is learning to be human, learning tools and skills for related careers while building a community of professionals.
