Teaching Philosophy

I teach computer science as both a technical discipline and a way of thinking: precise, creative, historically grounded, and deeply connected to the world around us. In my courses, I emphasize hands-on problem solving, clear communication, diagrammatic and systems thinking, and the ability to move confidently between theory, code, architecture, data, and social context. My goal is to help students become not only better programmers, but also more careful thinkers, builders, and interpreters of technology.
