00:15 - The thing enjoy the most about this program
00:17 is that it allows me to go at my own pace.
00:20 Especially since I work two jobs.
00:23 - With the online platform,
00:25 I can dedicate those hours
00:27 when they make the most sense for me and my family.
00:30 - I live with a couple of health disabilities
00:32 that make it really difficult
00:34 for me to transport myself to different locations.
00:37 I really wanted a program that was going to be flexible.
00:41 (upbeat music)
00:47 - [Luis] I think a lot people have the misconception
00:50 that it's just a Zoom meeting.
00:51 - [Lauren] There is a live opportunity
00:53 to have an actual class
00:55 where you do sit with your professor.
00:57 It's very interactive.
00:59 - So, it's not just
01:00 the professor starts the course
01:02 and you're just clicking buttons.
01:04 You're also doing all these interactive exercises.
01:07 - [Luis] We're taking some of those really cool
01:09 advance analytics tools
01:11 and we're getting hands-on with them.
01:12 And so, that experiential piece has been very key.
01:15 (upbeat music)
01:21 Our instructors, in many cases,
01:23 are still in the field
01:25 working full-time jobs,
01:26 so they're able to bring perspective
01:27 about what's happening in the world today
01:31 while they're also living it on the job.
01:33 - [Christine] My professor is currently and audit manager
01:36 for a public accountant firm.
01:37 (upbeat music)
01:42 - [Lauren] If you work a night-shift,
01:44 you might not be able to make it that class,
01:46 so they video record it for you.
01:48 - [Luis] I can always go back to the content
01:50 in the material of any private course.
01:53 So, I'm going to be able to go into Blackboard
01:54 look at a concept that we learned
01:56 maybe two or three courses ago
01:57 that I need to refresh on.
01:58 (upbeat music)
02:05 - I have made so many connections
02:08 with my cohort, with Suffolk alumni, with my professors.
02:12 - There's also an amazing mentorship program with alumni.
02:16 And I'm currently a mentee for someone who graduated
02:21 Suffolk with the same degree a couple years ago.
02:25 - I personally know of two other students
02:28 who started at the same time as me
02:31 who have had pretty major promotions.
02:33 It's just been a really incredible opportunity
02:36 and it's been worth any investment I could have put into it.
