First-Year Foundation Studies

The Art & Design Department at Suffolk University offers Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Graphic Design and Interior Design and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Studio Art. Regardless of your major, the Foundation Studies program will be your first step.

The first-year Foundation Studies program is designed to equip you with the fundamentals of visual thinking and communication. You’ll get an uncommon degree of personal attention from your instructor, and a sense of bonding with your fellow students that will last throughout your studies. In the Foundation Studies program, you will:
