Student Residence Halls
Choose a Hall that's Right for You
Madrid is a city that is active day and night, with activities and events for all tastes. We offer two different student residence options and their unique locations make it easy so that you don´t miss anything during your time at Suffolk Madrid.
Overnight guests are not allowed in SUMC accommodations. Suffolk students, however, can visit friends in other halls between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Main Residence Hall
Located in the main university district of Madrid, just a few minutes walk from our campus. In addition to fully-equipped double and single rooms—most rooms are doubles—all rooms come with an en-suite bathroom, bed, study area with a desk, an ample wardrobe and storage space, air conditioning and heating, and a kitchenette with fridge, freezer, and microwave. Each room also enjoys plenty of natural light.
This student residence option provides cleaning service, bed linens and towels, a full-board meal plan, high-speed broadband, and WiFi throughout the building. There are several study rooms, a gym, a game room, common room, terrace, on-site laundry, and a cafeteria providing three meals a day.
Your housing fee covers a full-board meal plan consisting of breakfast (el desayuno) served between 7-10 a.m. (9-11 a.m. on weekends), lunch (la comida) is usually the main meal of the day in Spain and is served between 1-4 p.m. (2-4 p.m. on weekends), and dinner (la cena) is usually a lighter meal served between 8-10 p.m. (9-10.30 p.m. on weekends). These meals are served in the halls seven days a week.
Secondary Residence Hall
Right in the heart of Madrid in the city center next to Malasaña and Chueca—the hippest neighborhoods in the city. An apartment that combines the privacy of a single bedroom with the social aspect of some shared apartment common areas such as the kitchen, which is only shared with your roommate. This hall is the perfect accommodation for returning students looking for a more independent living experience.
This option also provides cleaning service, bed linens and towels, high-speed broadband, and WiFi throughout the building. There are 2 study rooms, a living area, a co-working space, on-site laundry, and a sun terrace.
Your housing fee covers a monthly stipend on a pre-paid credit card where you will have the option to buy your own groceries, have meals at outside restaurants or even coordinate a meal plan with the cafeteria at the Main Residence Hall—half- or full-board meal plans are available for Suffolk students.
