Community Update on Suffolk COVID-19 Positive Results

The impact of COVID-19 upon the Suffolk community has currently resulted in all students studying online and 99 percent of students living off-campus. All but essential Suffolk employees are working from home. These current campus conditions as well as individual self-quarantine/self-isolation without testing impact the frequency of community member reports of positive tests for COVID-19. Suffolk will continue to update this page on a regular basis with the known number of positive COVID-19 reports in our Suffolk community.

Suffolk has ten (10) known student reports and three (3) known employee reports of individuals positively diagnosed with COVID-19.  For more information and resources regarding COVID-19, please see the Suffolk Coronavirus Advisory page.

Please Respect Privacy

It is important that the Suffolk community respect the privacy of individuals diagnosed with COVID-19, as we would for anyone with a health concern. Even if you believe you know who an ill individual may be, please respect their privacy as diagnosed individuals focus upon their health during a difficult time.

Notification about exposure to COVID-19

The appropriate Department of Public Health oversees contact investigation regarding an ill individual and associated exposure notifications. Persons who have had close contact with individuals in question by the Department of Public Health are notified in accordance with standard public health processes. If you have not been notified, then you are not deemed to have increased risk because of exposure to these individuals.
