Academic English Level 2 Archive 2020-2021

Academic English level 2 is designed for students with high beginner English language proficiency. In level 2, students will develop an elementary understanding of English language in the areas of language comprehension and conversation, word form and sentence structure, basic vocabulary and grammar topics.

This course is designed to help students develop a foundational understanding in the areas of language comprehension, notetaking, conversation and class discussion skills essential to the active participation and critical engagement in the academic classroom at Suffolk University. Students will enhance their fluency and develop student confidence in speaking and listening to English through a variety of student-centered activities. This course is designed for students at a high beginner level. This is a non-credit course.

This course introduces students to a wide- range of topics covering the various aspects of life in the U.S. This course aims to provide students with an introduction to life and culture in the U.S, which compliments their experiences as international students living and studying in the U.S. This is a non-credit course.
