Client Spotlight

Every summer, Toronto-based Manulife Investment Management sends 30 executives to Boston from across its global centers for three days of intensive learning about compliance, risk, audit, legal, and other topics. Unlike other universities that run similar programs, Suffolk works closely with clients like Manulife to understand their priorities and provide them with a robust curriculum that's relevant for their executives.

"Recognizing that technical knowledge is not enough to become a successful compliance professional, we engaged Suffolk to assist us in customizing a curriculum aimed at enhancing certain leadership and business skills. This curriculum was designed to enable participants to apply these skills to real-life challenges faced by compliance officers.

The program comprised a blend of lectures, business case analyses, simulations, and role-playing exercises against customized business scenarios. This unique approach resonated with the participants and brought theory to life in a way that other programs do not achieve."
