Through planning, training, education and outreach, the Office of Emergency Management strives to foster, build, and advance individual preparedness, departmental readiness and university resilience.
The mission of the Office of Emergency Management is to work in partnership with the Suffolk University community alongside external partners, to prevent, prepare for, respond to, recover from, and mitigate against emergencies and other disturbances on campus.
The Office of Emergency Management will operate as a division of the Suffolk University Police Department in a cohesive, team-oriented fashion with the community to foster a culture of preparedness at Suffolk University, and to implement strategies and execute planning in case of emergencies in order to be resilient to disasters and other emergency issues to the University.
