These times are subject to change on days when the mail delivery from USPS is late, mail volume is heavy, a day after a holiday or the day after an official school closing.
The Sawyer Mail Services Department receives mail and packages from the Stahl mail room around 11:30 - 12:30. Deliveries commence once the mail is sorted to the entire building including the Samia building and Ridgeway building. At 1:30 p.m., a mail switch occurs with the other mail rooms to accommodate interoffice and various departmental mail and memos that are received during the day deliveries. Finally a 2:00 p.m. delivery is done for both the 8 Ashburton and 20 Somerset locations.
The Stahl Mail Services Department receives mail around the times of 11:30-12:30 from USPS. Packages from UPS, FedEx, and other affiliated courier systems arrive during the entire work day. Deliveries are made to the Suffolk University departments after the mail is sorted and the packages are recorded. A mail switch is done with the other Mail Services locations and an afternoon delivery is done at 2:00.
It is the policy of the Campus Mail Services to obtain a signature when delivering packages. In some cases, the person delivering packages will release the package without a signature at the discretion of Mail Services.
- Campus Mail Services does not have the equipment to deliver packages weighing more than 25 pounds. Departments receiving such packages will be notified by Mail Services and are responsible for arranging delivery through the Facilities Department.
- Mail Services will not be responsible for personal packages; it is the responsibility of the recipient to pick up their packages. Please note, Mail Services will not deliver these packages.
- Mail Services does not deliver any computer equipment. Due to the size and cost of computer equipment we ask that your department pick it up promptly.
- Campus Mail Services also does not deliver to the residence halls. Residence hall mailing or memos need to be arranged through the Residence Life offices.
