Graduate Certificate in Managing Talent

Develop a robust understanding of and strategies for managing the often-hidden dynamics in the workplace, including motivation, power, influence, personality, interpersonal relationships, diversity, and communication.

The Graduate Certificate in Managing Talent provides deep insight into one of the most critical aspects of business performance: human behavior, whether at the individual, group, or organizational level. Through case studies and experiential activities, you will engage with the topics of employee and management attitudes, motives, and behaviors; as well as difficult interactions involving harassment, abusive supervision, and psychological disorders. Special emphasis is given to strategies for building inclusive workplaces, as well as increasing and managing diversity in an organization.

This certificate program is designed to be completed part-time in one or two semesters on campus. You can continue to build on your management knowledge by stacking the Graduate Certificate in Managing Talent with our Graduate Certificates in Leading Teams & Projects or Managerial Skills. If you apply to the Master of Management and Organizational Leadership (MMOL) degree program or another graduate business degree program, you may be able to apply the courses in this certificate program to reduce the time it will take to complete your master’s degree.

Courses are taught by leading faculty at the Sawyer Business School, which is ranked among the best in the world.
