Become a Suffolk Votes Ambassador

Want to get involved in social change, but don’t know how? Become a Suffolk Votes Ambassador!

Suffolk Votes Ambassadors (SVAs) are student leaders who will be trained in the voter registration process, get their peers registered to vote, and plan and prepare voter engagement events and programs to raise awareness of the election and its importance. SVAs will also support the following initiatives:

  1. Classroom presentations
  2. “Voter tutoring” office hours
  3. National Voter Registration Day events in September
  4. National Voter Education Week events in October
  5. National Early Voting Day events in October
  6. Suffolk Votes social media campaigns

You can either volunteer to be an SVA or use your federal work-study award.

“Working as a Suffolk Votes Ambassador has taken my leadership skills to the next level. I'm so proud to help lead the movement of young student activists making their voices heard. As a Suffolk Votes Ambassador, I've seen new ideas come to life and I’ve felt the passion for civic engagement from my peers. I cannot wait to push out more great content, events, and ideas to get more students registered to vote next year!”
