Internships & Careers
Academic and non-credit internships are available, and both the Economics Department and the Career Development Center can help you find an internship. Recently, our students have worked as interns at the Beacon Hill Institute and the Mass Export Center.
To see the latest internship offerings be sure to read the department e-newsletter and follow us on Facebook.
Economics majors often choose to pursue careers in business, but the major also provides excellent preparation for success in government, law, technology, and nonprofits, as well as graduate study. Recent graduates are working at:
- State Street Corporation, a financial services company
- MIT Lincoln Laboratory, a research and development center dedicated to solving national security problems
- Glacier Global Partners, a commercial real estate investment firm
- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
