Voter Registration Details

As a student at Suffolk University and a member of the greater Boston community, you have the option to register to vote in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Voter application forms will available in the Political Science & Legal Studies Department, 73 Tremont (10th floor), and in the Suffolk University Center for Community Engagement, Sawyer Building, 8 Ashburton Place (Room 824).

Resident of Massachusetts

If you are a Massachusetts resident with a state-issued identification card, you may register to vote online.

Non-Resident Student

If you are NOT a resident of Massachusetts and wish to register in Massachusetts, you are required to complete a voter registration form by hand. Without a state-issued identification card, the state cannot verify your signature digitally and thereby requires that you manually fill out the form.

When filling out the form, a few additional qualifications apply for out-of-state students. As a Suffolk University student without permanent residency in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you must list your residential address as your dorm name and room number or the address of your residency.

Registering Other States

If you wish to register to vote in a state other than Massachusetts, find information about your registration process.
