Our Mission

Family Programs is committed to helping parents and families support the success of their students by informing, supporting, and engaging you with the University. We view families as an important partner in achieving the goals of our students and this institution.

The mission of Family Programs is to:

  • Share information about the University with the families of current students
  • Generate support for University programs and services which contribute to student success
  • Encourage appropriate participation of families in the collegiate experience
  • Engage families in the growth of Suffolk University as a premier institution of higher education

Orientation

Suffolk University welcomes incoming students’ families to participate in Family Orientation to help get acquainted with Suffolk and myriad student resources available.

Your student can register you for Family Orientation through their applicant portal when they complete their own orientation registration.

RAMily Training Workshop Series

Join us for a RAMily training workshop where we cover relevant topics to help new students and families navigate their transition into the Suffolk University community.

Training workshops are hosted in collaboration with Suffolk Orientation, New Student & Family Programs and take place on Zoom. See our upcoming schedule and view past webinars.

Suffolk Weekend

Suffolk Weekend is held each fall to give parents and families the opportunity to spend time with their student, experience life at Suffolk, and explore our city of Boston.

Stay Connected

Family Programs sends regular emails to families that highlight the latest news around campus and in Boston. It also features tips on how to support your student during their Suffolk career.
