About Giana Eckhardt
Dr. Giana M. Eckhardt is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Suffolk University. She was formerly on the faculty at the Australian Graduate School of Management. She received her B.S. in Marketing from the University of Connecticut and her Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Eckhardt has published widely on issues related to consumer behavior in China, branding and culture in Asia, and globalization in publications such as Journal of International Marketing, Journal of Macromarketing, Consumption, Markets and Culture, International Marketing Review and Asian Journal of Marketing. Her research has won awards from the Sheth Foundation and the Marketing Science Institute. She teaches global marketing and brand management to MBA students, and has been widely quoted in media such as Asiaweek and Asia, Inc. on global branding issues. Dr. Eckhardt has also consulted for the Australian government on cultural diversity and marketing, and has worked in marketing in the ski industry. She regularly presents her work at international conferences such as Association for Consumer Research, Academy of Management, and Association for International Business.Employment History
