Prof. Eonas has taught numerous students the fundamentals of business law. He has been recognized by student groups for his teaching with the Outstanding Professor Award. As a practicing attorney, he was awarded the Chief Justice Alan Hale Career Service Award (Plymouth County Bar Association, 2015). The university also bestowed the Heritage Medallion for his outstanding contributions to the university. His university service is extensive serving as chair of the Marketing department, chair of the Business Law and Ethics department. serving as a member of the following: Dean’s Search Committee (Dean O’Neill), Faculty Life and Development Committee, Graduate Programs Committee, Heritage Committee, President’s Search Committee, Undergraduate Program Committee and as faculty parliamentarian for many years. Prof. Eonas also had extensive service in his hometown of Brockton as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, Mayor’s Consumer Commission and Mediation program, Mayor’s Cable Advisory Commission as well as involvement with both youth sports and his church.
