About Ran Hoitash

Rani Hoitash, Ph.D. Rani Hoitash is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Department of Accounting and Taxation at Suffolk University. Professor Hoitash received his Ph.D. in Accounting and Information Systems from Rutgers University. His primary research interests include artificial intelligence in accounting, analytical procedures, audit fees and internal controls. Professor Hoitash co-edited a book on artificial intelligence in accounting which was published in 2006. He recently published in: Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory, The CPA Journal, and the International Journal of Digital Accounting Research. He has taught accounting information systems and auditing both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He is a member of the American Accounting Association and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
