About Dr. David Manzler
Professor David Manzler joins Suffolk University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance in the Sawyer Business School. Prior to coming to Suffolk, he was a PhD student at the University of Cincinnati, completing the PhD program in June 2007. David received his Bachelor of Business degree from Ohio University and his MBA from the University of Cincinnati.Prior to entering the PhD program at Cincinnati, David worked as a portfolio manager, research analyst, and financial operations principal for a financial services firm. David is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), completing the CFA program in 1995.
Davids primary research interests are in the area of investments and financial institutions. David has presented his research at the Financial Management Association Conference in 2005 and 2007. At the University of Cincinnati David taught investment analysis, corporate finance, international finance, and personal finance. In the upcoming 2007-2008 school year, David will be teaching financial statement analysis and investment analysis at Suffolk.
Davids hobbies include aviation, bicycling, jogging, and backpacking. David holds a degree in Aviation Technology from Ohio University. David was a flight instructor at Ohio University and a Marine helicopter pilot.
