Research Interests
My lab studies the molecular mechanisms that allow for regulation of synaptic signaling using C. elegans as a model organism.
Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy centers around actively engaging students in their learning, helping them to make connections between prior experience and their course work, and providing them with authentic research experiences. I incorporate these ideas into my teaching in a variety of settings from large introductory lecture courses to small intensive hands-on lab courses to one-on-one mentored research experiences in the lab.
