Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics in Accounting
The Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics in Accounting covers the tools and techniques used in data analytics, visualization, privacy and data security, internal control implementations, and more. You will be introduced to enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, as well as database design and programs like Quickbooks, XBRL, and Tableau. State-of-the-art data sources—including advanced tools in Excel and Calcbench—will be used to perform financial data analytics and peer benchmarking.
This certificate program is designed to be completed part-time in two semesters and can be taken on campus or online. You can continue to build on your accounting knowledge by stacking the Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics in Accounting with our Graduate Certificates in Foundations in Accounting & Taxation or Financial Accounting & Reporting. (If you choose to stack certificates, you should take either of these before enrolling in the data analytics in accounting certificate program.)
If you apply to the MS in Accounting (MSA) degree program or another graduate business degree program, you may be able to apply the courses in this certificate program to reduce the time it will take to complete your master’s degree.
Courses are taught by leading accounting faculty members at the Sawyer Business School, the only school in Boston to earn elite supplemental accreditation by AACSB International for its graduate accounting program.
