Graduate Certificate in Taxation of Wealth

As of September 2021, the MST program is no longer recruiting new students or accepting applications. Those interested in participating in the Graduate Certificate in Taxation of Wealth will be eligible to apply completed courses as part of this certificate to a future MSA.

The Princeton Review: Best Business Schools, 2022This program is designed for sole practitioner CPAs, Registered Investment Advisors, or CPAs looking to go into financial planning.

The Graduate Certificate in Taxation of Wealth explores the basic structure of individual income taxation, including gross income, exclusions, deductions, credits, and the alternative minimum tax. Taxation of estates, trusts, and gifts are addressed as well, and elective courses cover topics including taxation of pass-through entities and international taxation. The program is ideal for professionals at wealth management firms looking to enter the field of financial planning.

This certificate program is designed to be completed part-time in one or two semesters on campus. You can continue to build on your tax knowledge by stacking the Graduate Certificate in Taxation of Wealth with our Graduate Certificates in Tax Audit Defense, Fundamentals of Taxation, or Corporate Taxation.

If you apply to the MS in Accounting (MSA) degree program or another eligible graduate business degree program, you may be able to apply the courses in this certificate program to reduce the time it will take to complete your master’s degree.
