New Student Education

New Student Education

Suffolk strives to maintain a safe and supportive community for all students, staff, and faculty. To increase awareness and knowledge regarding community expectations, all new students are required to complete several online learning modules which have been carefully designed to provide information and education related to alcohol use, sexual behavior, and diversity, equity and inclusion during college. These learning modules provide essential information, bystander training, and information about Suffolk’s policies which apply to all students. Our goal is to support student learning and lifelong engagement in creating a vibrant and inclusive community for all.

All entering students are emailed a customized link to complete these learning modules. Information is sent to Suffolk email accounts only; please make sure you are checking your Suffolk email for this information. Links are generally sent about 1 month before the start of classes with ongoing reminders to complete these modules until the deadline. These are required learning modules with the following deadlines:

  • September 10 (for students matriculating in the fall)
  • February 10 (for students matriculating in the spring)
