Spring Week

April 18-26, 2019

Spring Week is a year-end celebration of the arts, culture and community across the Suffolk campus.

The culmination of Spring Week is Suffolk’s longest running arts tradition, the SpringFest Variety Show. This year’s show includes performances by students, as well as faculty, staff and alumni and will take place at Royale Boston.

Thursday, 4/18

Ramily Reunion on Somerset Plaza
Join Program Council for their annual block party! Food, games, shirts, photo-ops, giveaways, and plenty more! You won’t want to miss our ‘out of this world’ event!

6:30 p.m.
The Journey Leadership Awards and Dancing with the Stahs! at Modern Theatre
The Journey Program presents its annual Leadership Awards together with their Dancing with the Stahs Program! Come out and celebrate the accomplishments of students progressing through the Journey Leadership Program. As an added bonus this year, you can also enjoy another fun installment of Suffolk’s very own Dancing With The Stahs, where faculty & staff are paired with students and given a choreographer, to try and impress the judges and audience with their dance moves!

Come enjoy a cute and fun afternoon with Program Council, full of cute barn animals and plenty of photo-ops!!!

Noche Caliente
LatinX's annual party, where we spend the night celebrating Latinx culture through dance! This year's theme is Noche De Rosas. Join us for a night of mystery and romance en nuestro jardín de rosas.

We're Late!: Soulfully Versed’s EP Release Party
Soulfully Versed is excited to share their brand new EP to the Suffolk community this spring! Join us as we celebrate the release with some songs and snacks!

A Capella Concert hosted by Soulfully Versed
Come out for an evening of a cappella music from both of Suffolk’s undergraduate a cappella groups, Soulfully Versed and The Ramifications as well as other area groups, including: For Good Measure, Harmageddon & Tufts’s S-Factor.

8 p.m.
Seriously Bent: Endgame at Improv Asylum, Boston
It's Seriously Bent's END OF YEAR REVUE!!!! And this year- WE'RE AT IMPROV ASYLUM!! Come see us perform improv AND sketch comedy for an hour and a half! Because we are comedians and not accountants, we are in a little bit of debt.... please forgive us. We will possibly (maybe-not) bake you cookies! Tickets will be $5

Denim Day at Suffolk University
In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, everyone is encouraged to wear denim on this day, as a symbol of protest against erroneous and destructive attitudes about sexual harassment, abuse, assault & rape. Join together with your fellow students, staff, faculty and alumni across campus to show your support of this important issue. Everyone is encouraged to celebrate DENIM DAY by wearing your best denim and kNow mOre shirt!

Wellness Wednesday Consent PizzaSpring Week Consent Pizza
In connection with Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Counseling Health & Well and the Suffolk SUPERS, invite you to the Wellness Resource Center on the 5th floor of 73 Tremont to learn more about consent through pizza! In addition to informative discussions on this topic, you will also get to enjoy some delicious pizza!

5:30 p.m.
Cooking 101: Comfort Food
This interactive class, taught by Suffolk University’s Dining Services (Sodexo) is free for Suffolk students. You will be taught how to prepare a variety of dishes using fresh ingredients with easy to follow directions. Students enjoy this interactive class because they can see how foods are prepared, ask questions, and sample the dishes that are prepared. Sponsored by Sodexo, Commuter Student Council and Off-Campus Housing Office.

Whos Askin'?: Year End Revue
Come join Suffolk’s sketch comedy troupe for their final show of the year! This show will be at the Improv Asylum in Boston’s North End!

Venture Literary Magazine Launch Party
Suffolk’s literary magazine, VENTURE, celebrates the release of their latest magazine. This is the 51st Venture, featuring works from Suffolk students, faculty and staff. The magazine includes poetry, short stories, photos and more.

8 p.m.
Spring Ball
Program Council hosts the most glamorous event of the year! Please make sure to buy your ticket ($5) for a cirque themed evening. There will be performers, food, dancing, and so much more!

Springfest Variety Show at Royale Nightclub, Boston
Suffolk Performing Arts presents the 47th annual SpringFest ! See the hidden (and not so hidden) talents of students, faculty, staff & alumni in this gala musical variety show. Pre-show reception and showcase will include celebrate the outside-the-classroom work of Suffolk students on service, leadership, community and the arts.

SILENT AUCTION for Alternative Spring Breaks – joining SpringFest this year is the main fundraiser for the Alternative Spring Breaks program run through the Center for Community Engagement. Come down and bid on any number of amazing packages and prizes. All funds raised go directly to helping minimize the cost for students to participate in the annual ASB programs.
