Office of External Affairs

The Office of External Affairs is Suffolk University’s primary liaison with the city, state, and federal governments; community organizations; nonprofit institutions of higher education; and other organizations. This office guides the entire University in developing positive relationships with our community.

External Affairs develops appropriate policies in response to issues presented to the University by local residents and community groups. Along with supporting existing programming, the office works with government, nonprofit, and community organizations to create new outreach initiatives and partnerships in line with Suffolk's mission.

The office plays a key role in the University’s real estate and development. It works with a community task force and local officials on the formulation and implementation of Suffolk's 10-year Institutional Master Plan.

It also collaborates with Suffolk's Center for Community Engagement, through which students, faculty, staff, and alumni have committed thousands of hours to local nonprofit organizations.
