Section I: Designated Host Information

Designated Host = person who is considered to be the individual responsible for the event.

The designated host must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
The designated host agrees to assume the following responsibilities.

  • Act as the responsible overseer of the event in general.
  • Remain at the event for its duration.
  • Promptly notify the University catering staff and Suffolk University Police if the designated host observes a violation of the Alcohol Policy or a violation is reported to the designated host.
  • Cooperate with any investigation of a violation of the Alcohol Policy by the Suffolk University Police or University administrator. This includes providing written accounts of any incident observed by or reported to the designated host.
Section II: Event Information

Only beer and wine may be served at events. All on-campus University Events with alcohol must be staffed by the University caterer.


*As stated in the alcohol policy, in order for beer and wine to be sold (cash bar), you must have already arranged for a cash bar license via the University caterer AND notified Suffolk University Police that a police detail will be needed.

Please note: The Sponsoring department will be responsible for paying for both the police detail and cash bar license
