salamanca welcome trip fall semester

The academic program at Suffolk University Madrid Campus centers on the liberal arts philosophy of education. Courses are offered in art history, business, communication, computer science, English, government, history, science, sociology, Spanish and general education requirements. Classes are small (average 15-25 students per class), so students receive considerable personal attention and are challenged to push themselves to grow academically. Suffolk University in Boston offers bachelor's degrees in more than 50 areas of specialization.

Our academic program fulfills the requirements for the first two years of degree work in almost any of the majors in Suffolk’s College of Arts and Science and the Sawyer Business School. Freshman students can complete up to two years of study in Madrid before making the internal transition to the Suffolk University main campus in Boston or transferring to another American university to complete their degree. In addition, students studying a concentration in International Relations in our Government Department can complete all four years of undergraduate study at the Madrid Campus.

Studying at Suffolk Madrid will allow you to:
  • Prepare for your future in a global economy with an international perspective
  • Become more independent, confident and aware of your world
  • Immerse yourself in the Spanish language and lifestyle beyond the classroom
  • Gain unique insights as you earn an education that spans two continents.

The language of instruction in all classes is English, except for courses in the Spanish Department.

All non-native English speakers are required to demonstrate proficiency in English as part of the application process. No minimum level of Spanish is required for admission.

Fully accredited learning
The academic program meets the exacting standards necessary for the Campus to be accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc. in the USA and is officially authorized by the relevant Spanish educational authority.

The Madrid Campus offers a selection of business courses from Suffolk University's Sawyer Business School. Its accreditations include AACSB, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Visit our accreditation page for a full disclosure of our authorizations and accreditations.
