Emily began working at Suffolk in Spring 2020 as an Administrative Coordinator in the Division of Student Success, serving as a first point of contact and helping students navigate campus resources. As an Academic Advisor, she enjoys building relationships, helping students explore majors that align with their goals, and providing a supportive, growth-oriented space for students facing challenges.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys seeing live theatre and concerts, singing in the car, making new Spotify playlists, and rewatching The Office.
Courtney Rorke, Senior Academic Advisor

Courtney received her B.A. in Spanish and History with a concentration in European History from Stonehill College and her M.Ed. in Administration of Higher Education from Suffolk University. She always enjoyed looking over her program evaluation, reading course descriptions, and planning out her classes. Courtney also took advantage of the many opportunities that college has to offer including participating in an internship in the Registrar’s Office and studying abroad in Seville, Spain. While in Spain, she was able to gain a deeper knowledge of the language and culture of Spain and had the opportunity to visit a variety of countries.
As a first-generation college student, Courtney enjoys introducing students to opportunities and resources on campus and likes serving as a resource to students to help them to navigate challenges and achieve their goals. She is passionate about working with students to help them identify their interests and assisting them with developing a plan for success both inside and outside of the classroom.
