Refunds are processed twice weekly, or following each disbursement, beginning the first week of the semester, once disbursed financial aid exceeds tuition and fees.

  • Eligible students receive their refunds automatically.
Parent PLUS Loans Disbursement Begins on the first day of the semester.

Refunds are processed twice weekly, or following each disbursement, starting the first week of the semester, once disbursed financial aid exceeds tuition and fees. Refunds are processed based on the parent’s authorization:

  • Parents who authorize the excess credit to be refunded to the student will have the refund automatically sent to the student.
  • If a parent does not authorize the student to get the refund, a check is processed and mailed to the parent.
Alternative Loans Disbursement Begins on the first day of the semester.

Suffolk University Institutional Aid & Federal Grant Aid Disbursement Begins three weeks after the start of the semester.
