Suffolk University’s MBA program has been designed to connect with and work alongside Boston’s world-class clusters of high-tech, finance, healthcare, and biotech.
How Can Companies Work with Suffolk?
Suffolk offers a variety of cooperative experiences between MBA students and Boston-area businesses, ranging in level of participation and project complexity.
- Lead an interactive discussion in their area of expertise, giving students perspectives into their field and offering further avenues for discussion and networking.
- Challenge students to develop solutions to a current business scenario. After which, they will discuss contributing factors, develop a potential model, and deliver their recommendations. This process usually takes place over the course of a single class session.
- Invite students to solve a more complex business challenge over the course of several days or over the course of a semester. Our semester long projects allow student groups to meet with business clients to discuss a challenge the client is facing in the realm of collaboration, research this challenge, and present their solutions to the client at the end of the semester. This gives students the opportunity to apply what they’re learning in the real world, to get a feel for consulting work, and to network with local professionals. This hands-on experience directly impacts the learning trajectory for both our students and the client businesses they work with. This type of project can include onsite visits to provide students with a more comprehensive perspective of the issue or market.
