Legal Writing, Clinics, Dispute Resolution and Trial Advocacy are all ranked in the US News Top 20. These programs are the cornerstone of a practical, hands-on education in the law—the foundations that help turn a student into a lawyer.
By the Numbers
- We’re the only school in the country that has earned top 20 rankings in each of the legal skills specialties for three years running.
- Many of the our top 20-ranked clinics offer our students a chance to argue before a judge—great real-world courtroom experience.
- Our National Trial Team students have won the New England championships of one of the two major national trial competitions 28 times in 33 years, a testament to the power of our top-15 ranked Trial Advocacy program.
Our students regularly make national news for taking on complex legal matters and beating experienced attorneys along the way—two recent examples are the Intellectual Property Clinic students who successfully took on the lawyers at Monster Energy Drink and Nautica. Immigration Clinic students won a major precedent-setting victory in an appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
