About

The Moakley Law Library occupies floors six and seven of Sargent Hall with its entrance located on the sixth floor and wireless Internet access throughout. The Law Library provides comfortable research and study areas, study rooms and study carrels—all wired for Internet access. Students, faculty, and attorneys have access to an extensive collection of both print and electronic research resources.

Our librarians and staff are committed to assisting you in all aspects of legal research. Librarians can help you find print or online materials or help you with your legal research project. The librarians and staff in technical services, who acquire, catalog, and maintain our collection of print and electronic resources, are also committed to providing you with a current library. In the required Legal Practice Skills course, students work with the librarians in learning the techniques of efficient legal research. Librarians also teach upper division research courses designed to impart the research skills that make our students practice ready.

This website introduces you to the library staff and services. From the website, you can access several services, the online catalog, our electronic reserves system, and the Law Library Research Databases. Additionally, students can reserve a study room, submit interlibrary-loan requests, and access research guides and other helpful resources right from here.
