101 Tremont Street

101 Tremont Street, Suffolk’s newest residence hall, blends historic character with modern conveniences for the ultimate downtown living experience. Completed in 1899, the building sits along the Freedom Trail, offers epic views of Boston’s skyscape, and is within 800 feet of all major MBTA lines.

Throughout its nearly 130-year history, 101 Tremont has served as a bustling commercial hub, including as the Boston Braves baseball team’s headquarters. The first three floors will open to students in fall 2026, placing them just steps from their classrooms, internships, and the city’s phenomenal cultural and athletic attractions—and right above Beantown Pub and Insomnia Cookies.

101 Tremont features comfy student lounges and on-site laundry facilities, and incorporates energy-efficient systems aligned with the University’s climate resilience goals.

An Unbeatable Downtown Location

101 Tremont is located near tons of Boston landmarks including:

  • Across the street from the Granary Burial Ground (Yes, Paul Revere will be your neighbor)
  • Barely 450 feet from Boston Common (aka Suffolk’s campus green)
  • A mere 0.2 miles from the Old South Meeting House
  • Craving laughs? A comedy show at the Schubert Theatre is 0.5 miles away
  • Speaking of cravings, you’re only 1 mile from your favorite cannoli in the North End
