Exam Preparation

The library has numerous resources that can help you prepare for examinations.
  • Past Exams
Many professors post copies of exam questions from previous years in this database. Use these exams to practice test-taking and gauge your knowledge of the subject. To access the database from off campus, log in with the same username/password you use for your Suffolk e-mail account.
  • Study Aids
The library's collection contains numerous treatises and study aids, like those in the Hornbook, Examples and Explanations, Understanding, and Nutshell series. Follow the link above to lists of treatises and study aids in more than 70 subject areas.  You can also access West Study Aids (like Nutshells) through your Westlaw account and LexisNexis study aids (like the Understanding and Questions & Answers series) through the LexisNexis Digital Library.
  • CALI Lessons
The Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI) offers more than 1,000 online interactive lessons in over 40 subject areas.
  • Audio Study Aids
The library has Sum & Substance audio study aids covering more than twenty topic areas, available on CD from the reserve desk or in online streaming form from West Study Aids
  • Study Rooms
Reserve a room in the library for your study group.

The end of the semester can be a stressful time for law students. Take time to see the university Counseling Center's tips for stress management, including relaxation techniques and breathing exercises.
